What’s on this site.

Pictures, games and stories about waking up in someone else’s body. Here is each one, and how finished it is.

What’s here

There are four things here.

New pictures, one game you can play today, and two more being made.

The idea

A place for body-swap stories, made properly.

Most body-swap stories go one of two ways: light fun with nothing at stake, or so serious they stop being fun to read. This site tries to do both at once.

These stories enjoy the genre and do not apologise for it — but the choices still cost something. The swap itself is never the point. What someone does in the hours, weeks and years after waking up is the real story, every time.

There is also no explanation and no way back. No machine to reverse it, no lab to break into, no cure. That is on purpose. Once you take away the escape, the only question left is who you are going to be.

The choice

Every story here splits the same way.

Not honest against dishonest. Not good against bad. It is about which version of yourself you choose — and each story charges a different price for the answer.

Fight it

You are still who you were.

Your old life is the real one and this body is just a costume. Keep your name, keep your habits, keep saying so — and find out how long you can hold on while everyone around you moves on.

Accept it

This is who you are now.

Your old life is somewhere you used to live. This one is easier, it works better, and people are kinder to you — and you will be asked to prove you meant it, again and again, by people who are watching.

How far along

Most of it isn’t built yet.

Here is the honest version for each one — what exists, and what is still just a plan. None of it has a date, and any date I gave you would be a guess.

Chrysalis

One story finished so far

Now: Episode One is playable, and it is the only finished thing on this site.

  • Episode One, in full. What you can play is the opening; the complete version runs far past where the demo stops.
  • Episode Two, and after. The series is built to keep going — a new way to wake up in someone else’s life each time.
  • Voices, and a real release. Right now it only runs in a browser tab. It should not stay that way.
Secret Identity

The pieces exist, the game doesn’t

Now: the cast, the key art and a working battle build — and nothing joining them up.

  • The story. Not written. The premise, the cast and the ending question exist; the script does not.
  • Beacon Bay. The city is a name. The hospital where his own body is lying, the press, her civilian life — all still to build.
  • The villains. One is designed. There need to be many more between the first mission and the last.
  • Everything between fights. The mission map, patrols, press events, and the level-up screen that is meant to be the tempting part.
The Great Shift

Twenty-one plans, nothing written

Now: every entry is blueprinted and illustrated. None are written.

  • The writing, all of it. Twenty-one stories, and not one of them has a first line yet.
  • The order. Which one gets written first is genuinely undecided — which is why there is a vote on its page.
  • The last five. Entries 2.17 to 2.21 still need the working-out the first sixteen have had.

And the rest of the slate. A knight who storms the tower and wakes up as the princess he came to save. Five rangers whose minds rotate one body around the ring. Two strangers taken from a night road and returned into each other. Those are ideas with artwork and nothing else — they are on the front page to show you what is planned, not because any of them is close to done.

If something here matters to you more than the rest, the pages for Secret Identity and The Great Shift both take answers, and those answers decide the order.

Questions

The short answers.

Is any of it finished?

Chrysalis Episode One is playable now, free, in your browser. Secret Identity is being made. The Great Shift is twenty-one stories that are planned and illustrated but not written yet — which is exactly why there is a vote on its page. There is a fuller breakdown in the road ahead.

Does it cost anything?

Nothing here costs anything today, and there is nothing to buy yet. If that ever changes it will be said plainly, on the page for the thing that changed.

Who is it for?

Adults who like this genre and want it to actually be good. Every character is an adult and stays one.

How do I hear when something lands?

The list below, or the accounts at the bottom of the page. Followers belong to the platform, not to me. An email list does not disappear if a platform has a bad day.

Can I ask for something?

Yes — the pages for Secret Identity and The Great Shift both take comments, and the answers genuinely change what gets built first.
